Mohamed Salah Omitted from Champions League Squad for Tuesday Clash

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has been left out of the 19-man squad for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Inter Milan following his public criticism of manager Arne Slot. The Egyptian forward, who has scored over 200 goals in eight trophy-laden years at Anfield, expressed frustration after being benched for the third consecutive Premier League game against Leeds. Salah said it “seems like the club has thrown me under the bus” and claimed he has “no relationship” with Slot.

Salah, who won two Premier League titles and the Champions League with Liverpool and was awarded Premier League Player of the Season twice, signed a two-year contract extension in April. He is also scheduled to join Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations later this month before the January transfer window. Liverpool have struggled in their title defense this season, winning only two of their last 10 games. Coach Arne Slot defended his decision to omit Salah, saying, “We have to accept the situation we are in and I make my choices based on that.” The controversy raises questions about Salah’s future at Liverpool, especially with the January transfer window approaching and his frustration becoming increasingly public.
