Senegal Deepens UAE Partnership in Aviation and Infrastructure Investments

Senegal is strengthening its ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as President Bassirou Diomaye Faye welcomed executives from Air Dynamics Solutions, an Abu Dhabi-based aviation and logistics firm, at the Palais de la République in Dakar. The Emirati company expressed its readiness to invest in Senegal, pledging support for the country’s Senegal 2050 development vision. Planned areas of cooperation include aeronautics, logistics, and large-scale infrastructure projects sectors seen as vital to boosting industrialization and positioning Senegal as a regional hub.

This engagement builds on recent high-level exchanges between the two nations. Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko led a five-day mission to Abu Dhabi earlier in September 2025 as part of the government’s economic recovery plan, Jubbanti Koom. President Faye had also visited the Emirates in December 2024, underscoring the growing importance of bilateral cooperation. Air Dynamics Solutions specializes in aviation technology, supply chain management, and modernization services, working with global partners to deliver advanced solutions. Its interest in Senegal marks a significant step toward deepening investment flows from the Gulf into West Africa.

The UAE, whose diversified economy spans energy, tourism, logistics, and technology, has been a long-standing partner for Senegal in trade, port development, education, and security. The latest discussions highlight Senegal’s broader push to attract strategic investments that align with its national priorities, including energy transition and sustainable development. By anchoring partnerships in aviation and logistics, Senegal hopes to enhance connectivity, strengthen its economy, and accelerate its long-term development agenda.
