The ECOWAS Commission President also highlighted The Gambia’s historical role in the formation of ECOWAS and its continued contribution to the regional body. “The Gambia has been instrumental in ECOWAS’ journey, from its inception to its current role in regional integration. This commitment must be maintained, and all member states should ensure sustained collaboration for the benefit of the West African people,” Dr. Touray stated.
