Côte d’Ivoire Reduces Fuel Prices for April 2025 Amid Economic Adjustments

The government of Côte d’Ivoire has announced a reduction in fuel prices for April 2025, a move aimed at easing the financial burden on consumers. The Ministry of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy made the announcement in an official statement on Monday, March 31, 2025. The new pricing structure, effective until April 30, 2025, sees a decrease in the cost of both gasoline and diesel.

Under the revised rates, the price of a liter of super petrol (gasoline) has been reduced by 20 CFA francs, dropping from 875 CFA francs to 855 CFA francs. Meanwhile, diesel prices have been cut by 15 CFA francs, lowering from 715 CFA francs to 700 CFA francs. Despite the fuel price cuts, the cost of butane gas remains unchanged. A 6 kg bottle will still be sold at 2,000 CFA francs, while a 12.5 kg bottle will continue to cost 5,200 CFA francs. The government’s decision comes as part of broader economic policies to regulate energy costs and support both consumers and businesses in the country.
