Egypt Vows to Ensure Full Implementation of Gaza Ceasefire, President El-Sissi Affirms

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi declared on Wednesday that the country would use all its efforts to ensure the complete implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. El-Sissi highlighted Egypt’s ongoing role in mediating between Israel and Hamas, reiterating Egypt’s commitment to sustaining peace and halting violence.

In his speech, the president stated, “Egypt is striving with all its power and sincere efforts to reject violence and strive for peace. The ceasefire agreement in Gaza is a testament to these relentless efforts. We will push with all our strength to implement this agreement in full, aiming to stop the bloodshed of our Palestinian brothers and restore essential services to the Gaza Strip.” He further emphasized Egypt’s rejection of any attempts at displacement, stressing that preserving the Palestinian cause is vital.

The truce, which is part of broader mediation efforts, includes the release of 33 hostages in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians. El-Sissi reiterated Egypt’s role as a key player in maintaining peace in the region, with the primary goal of protecting the Palestinian people and ensuring their rights are upheld.
