Senegalese law enforcement has dismantled a significant drug trafficking network operating in Dakar, arresting over a dozen suspects, mostly foreign nationals, in a coordinated raid led by the Central Office for the Suppression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS).
Based on credible intelligence, the operation yielded a seizure of 980 grams of Indian hemp (both bulk and cone), 61 kepas of Kush, and 14 crack cocaine stones. Authorities also confiscated a TVS motorcycle, seven coffee kiosks, 21 mobile phones, six purebred sheep, and 33,000 CFA francs—evidence pointing to a well-structured distribution network possibly using commercial fronts to disguise illegal activity.
Officials confirmed that further investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest additional accomplices. The public has been urged to share any information that may aid in the continued effort to curb narcotics trafficking in the capital.
